Testimonials is the guardian of the Co-operative Identity on behalf of the International Co-operative Alliance.  The Co-operative Identity comprises the Co-operative Marque and the .coop domain and we manage use of the Marque and register .coop domains.  We are the only ICANN Accredited Registrar dedicated to serving the co-operative movement worldwide.

USA Cooperative Youth Council

The USA Cooperative Youth Council facilitates & strengthens the engagement & influence of youth in national & international cooperative movements through participation, opportunity, & identity.

The USACYC  is borne of cross-sector International Year of Cooperatives organizing efforts and is comprised of youth cooperators and their allies from across the United States and several different sectors. The Youth Council has been in operation and busy with smithing its identity, policies, and procedures since January 2012.

Suma Wholefoods

Suma is the UK's largest workers' co-operative.  It is also the UK's largest independent wholefood wholesaler/distributor, specialising in vegetarian, fairly-traded, organic, ethical and natural products. 

In early 2014, just before they became the Co-operatives UK "Co-operative of the Year" we caught up with Marketing Communications Manager, Emma Robinson, to ask a few questions.

South African Youth Co-operative Network

The International Co-operative Alliance had the pleasure of working with members of the South African Youth Co-operative Network during its General Assembly held in Cape Town in 2013.

The young people were so inspired by what they learnt by meeting with co-operators from all of the world that they moved forward with their plans to create the South African Youth Co-operative Network (SAYCON).

Coops UK

Ed Mayo is Secretary General of Co-operatives UK, the membership network for co-operative businesses. He is also Chair of the Communications Committee of the International Co-operative Alliance.  Here Ed gives us his thoughts on the Co-operative Marque and the .coop domain.

Ontario Cooperative Association

The Ontario Co-operative Association has been a long standing customer of, having purchased their domain in 2002.  Here Audrey Aczel, Communications and Events Manager, shares her ideas about the Co-operative Identity and using a .coop Domain.


Founded in 1977, Calverts is a workers' co-operative based in London, UK.  It has 12 members and has worked with firms on design, communications and publications for over 30 years.  Here, Sion Whellens, Client Services Director, gives his thoughts on how .coop and the Co-operative Marque have helped promote the co-operative identity of the business.  Calverts was the agency who designed the Marque.


Rabash Web & Design Cooperative

Rabash, a web and design cooperative based in Gothenburg, Sweden, provide web design and print graphics services.  The describe themselves as a communication agency combining social responsibility with a dedication for well-designed and carefully constructed communication.  Here, Web Strategist Petter Joelson talks about why they chose a .coop domain.
